Multi-language splash pages improve guest experience by displaying WiFi login pages in visitors' native languages, reducing confusion and increasing authentication completion rates. By enabling localization in Spotipo, you can create splash pages in multiple languages with automatic language detection or manual language selection via flag icons.

This guide walks you through enabling multi-language support, translating splash page elements, and testing language variants. The feature is currently available for Email and Username & Password login methods and supports dozens of languages.

What you'll accomplish:

  • Enable multi-language support for your splash page

  • Translate splash page elements into multiple languages

  • Configure automatic language detection or manual selection

  • Test language variants using demo mode

What you'll need:

  • Spotipo account with Email or Username & Password login configured

  • Content translations for your target languages

  • Understanding of your guest demographics and language needs

Supported login methods: Multi-language splash pages currently work with Email Login and Username & Password Login. Payment, Voucher, and other login methods do not yet support localization.

Multi-language splash pages allow you to create a Spotipo landing page in multiple languages of your choosing. This creates a better experience for your guests and also allows for an easier use of the portal for non-native speakers.

How to enable the feature

*This plan is only currently only supported on Email and Username&Password login methods. If you're using other login methods, such as payment or voucher login, this option is not yet available.

To enable the feature, you need to find it in Settings->Email login. There, you can find the "Localization" tab. From there, simply turn on the languages that you'd like to support.

Translating the splash page

Once localization is turned on, head over to the Splash page section, where you'll need to do all of the localization yourself.

To localize a part of the text, select an element that you'd like to edit. A new window will appear in the right corner. If you wish to localize a specific language, you need to select it first at the top of the newly opened window, and only then edit the Text element.

Once you've localized the page, make sure to save it by clicking the "Save Splashpage" button in the top right corner so that the changes can be reflected on your actual portal.

You can check the page by clicking the View Demo button, to check if it looks right. Changes languages, by clicking the flags in the right corner above your site's logo.

Once you've enabled languages and translated all splash page elements, guests can switch between languages using flag icons in the top corner. This creates a welcoming experience for international visitors and increases successful authentication rates.

What to do next:

  • Test all language variants using View Demo mode

  • Verify translations are accurate and culturally appropriate

  • Consider automatic language detection based on browser settings

  • Monitor which languages guests use most to prioritize translations
