Aruba Instant On provides affordable cloud-managed WiFi for small businesses with simplified management through a mobile app and web portal. Integrating Spotipo's captive portal with Aruba Instant On adds email capture, social login, and paid WiFi access while maintaining the simplicity of Instant On's cloud management.
This guide walks you through creating an Aruba Instant On site in Spotipo, configuring a guest network, and customizing the guest portal with RADIUS authentication settings.

Aruba Instant On access points
Aruba Instant On account at portal.arubainstanton.com
Active Spotipo account (start free trial)
Add an Aruba Instant-On Site in Spotipo
A Site represents each location. A site can have multiple routers (of the same type)
Go to Site Selector and use Create A New location button. Find the Aruba InstantOn by clicking See more routers option.

Get Config Details from Spotipo
After adding an Aruba Instant ON site, navigate to Settings -> Aruba Config
Please note down the splash page URL, Identity, and Radius Secret for your site.
Add a network in Aruba Instant On Portal
Login to your Aruba ION account at portal.arubainstanton.com. Then Navigate to Networks.
Press the Create Site button to create a new network.

Once you create the Site, go to networks and create a new network. Make sure to have the network usage set as Guest and also to have guest portal enabled. The rest of the settings is up to you.
Press Save to create the network.
Customize the Aruba Instant On Guest portal
Click on the network just created. Under the Overview tab, please click on View Guest portal.
Match the settings to ones on the screenshot below. Make sure to use Secret, Radius Server IP and Identifier given to you on the Spotipo site settings.
Use RADIUS IP address under "Server IP Address or Domain Name", Secret under "Shared Secret" and Identity under "NAS Identifier". Also make sure that app.spotipo.com is allowed under "Allowed Domains" field.
Copy and paste the Splash Page URL from Spotipo as Server URL. Make sure to leave the Redirect URL blank.
Wait for few minutes and connect a Guest device to the newly created SSID and you should be able to see the configured landing page.
Aruba Instant On Captive Portal Active
After creating the guest network and configuring RADIUS settings in the Aruba Instant On portal, wait a few minutes for settings to propagate. Guests connecting to your SSID will be redirected to Spotipo's captive portal for authentication.
