Meraki Go provides simple cloud-managed WiFi for small businesses through a mobile app interface. Integrating Spotipo's external splash page with Meraki Go adds email capture, social login, and paid WiFi access capabilities while maintaining the simplicity of Meraki Go's mobile management.

This guide walks you through creating a Meraki Go site in Spotipo and configuring the external splash page, walled garden, and timeout settings via the Meraki Go mobile application.

What you'll accomplish:

  • Create a Meraki Go site in Spotipo and get splash page URL

  • Configure externally hosted landing page in Meraki Go app

  • Set up walled garden for Spotipo and payment domains

  • Configure appropriate timeout frequency for guest sessions

What you'll need:

  • Meraki Go access point with active subscription

  • Meraki Go mobile app installed on your phone

  • Active Spotipo account (start free trial)

Add a Meraki Go Site in Spotipo

Each location is represented by a Site. A site can have multiple routers (of the same type)

Go to Site Selector and use Create A New location button. Select the device type as Meraki Go

Get Config Details from Spotipo

After adding the site navigate to Settings -> Meraki Go and copy the splash page URL

Configure Meraki Go network via the mobile application

Open the Meraki Go application on your phone and navigate to the network you want to enable Hotspot on.

Click Settings

Select Landing Page and set the Landing page type as Externally Hosted

Configure External Splash Page on Meraki Go

Click on the Externally hosted option and edit the website. Enter the Splash Page URL from spotipo here.

Configure Walled Garden

Select the walled garden and enter app.spotipo.com as an entry.

If you want to enable payment logins enter below domains as well.

js.stripe.com
api.stripe.com
q.stripe.com

Configure Timeout Frequency

Set the timeout frequency as Every Ninety days

Wait for few minutes and connect a Guest device to the newly created SSID and you should be able to see the configured landing page.

Meraki Go Captive Portal Active

After configuring the external splash page, walled garden, and timeout settings in the Meraki Go app, wait a few minutes for changes to propagate. Guests connecting to your SSID will be redirected to Spotipo's captive portal for authentication.

What to do next:

  • Test the captive portal by connecting a device to your network

  • Customize your splash page design in Spotipo dashboard

  • Set up email marketing integrations to sync guest contacts

Timeout frequency note: "Every Ninety days" provides the best balance between guest convenience and data collection frequency for most businesses.
