Splash video ads allow you to promote a short video or an ad to your guests before they log into your network.
Video ads require you to be subscribed to our Pro plan or higher. They are not available on the Starter plan.
How to create Splash page Video ad
To enable video preview on your splash page, simply go to the Splash Ad screen. There, you can create a new ad.
Once you start creating the first campaign, select the video ad option.
This will open a new menu, providing you with multiple settings. First you need to upload your video file from your computer. Video has to use either the .mp4 or .webm format and the size of it has to be less than 25 MB. There are no limitations on resolution, but smaller resolution allows for a longer duration of the video.
Once you upload the video, you can adjust more settings however you please.
We recommend that you use the option "When to show this ad" with a setting "Before the splash page" as it allows for a more reliable experience and makes sure that ad will show up every time a splash page is opened.
Also, if the option "Before the splash page" is enabled, "Show advertisement" option won't work properly and ad will be shown every single time by default.
You can also set up your ad with a skip button in case you want to give your customers an option of cutting the ad early. Skip button will show up after selected amount of seconds in the "Show skip button after (Seconds)" field. If you wish to disable this feature, simply enter the seconds of your video duration.
Once you're done, make sure to save the settings, so that the campaign will actually start running.
Testing the feature
After you finished creating the ad, its status should now state "Active".
To test out your new feature, go to Splash page editor and click on the "View Demo" button, so that you can check whether your feature is working properly.
