In case you need to pause the subscription, move your site to a new controller, or if you are simply leaving Spotipo, you might want to revert your settings back to default, so that you can keep your current controller operational even without Spotipo being connected to it. In this article, we're going to show you how to do that.
Move SSID back to Standard
If you are planning on simply removing captive portal and want to continue working with a standard password protected WiFi SSID, you will need to restore this by finding your wifi in the Settings menu.
Then, once you click on said SSID, a new window will pop up in the right side of the screen. There, simply change Application type from Hotspot to Standard .
Change the type of Hotspot
If you want to use built in UniFi captive portal instead of Spotipo, you will need to go to Captive portal Landing page settings and make changes there. Simply Navigate to Client Devices->Landing Page .
Once there, you can customize the built in portal. But to remove Spotipo, most important things to remove are the "External Portal" , "Domain" and removing Spotipo pre-approved IP addresses.
This should keep captive portal active, but it will remove Spotipo as a captive portal provider and allow you to keep everything operational with a different provider/UniFi internal portal.
Change Local Admin Password
Since you were most likely using a local administrator with Spotipo, as best practice we recommend changing that users password once you're done using the service. You can achieve this either by deleting the local admin entirely, or by finding it under People tab and changing the password there.
This is a recommendation and best practice so we advise you to do it where possible.
