ECall provides SMS delivery services with support for multiple regions and competitive pricing. Configuring ECall as your SMS gateway in Spotipo enables phone number authentication, OTP verification, and SMS-based account notifications for your guest WiFi.

This guide walks you through enabling the required interfaces in your ECall account and configuring the gateway credentials in Spotipo.

What you'll accomplish:

  • Enable HTTP and WebService interfaces in ECall

  • Configure ECall gateway credentials in Spotipo

  • Set correct message type (PrioSMS+) for delivery

  • Test SMS delivery to verify configuration

What you'll need:

  • Active ECall account with API access

  • Spotipo account with admin access

  • Phone number for testing SMS delivery

Enable HTTP and Web Service Interface

Login to your Ecall account and navigate to Interfaces -> Overview.

Make sure HTTP and WebService interfaces are active in here.

Configure Ecall Gateway in Spotipo.

Login to your Spotipo account and navigate to Settings->SMS Settings.

Select the gateway as Ecall and fill in your account details. Use PrioSMS+ as the Msgtype.

After saving the Settings, please use the Test button to verify the settings.

ECall SMS Gateway Configured

After enabling the required interfaces in ECall and entering your credentials in Spotipo, SMS functionality is active. Test the configuration by sending a test SMS to verify delivery before enabling phone-based authentication.

What to do next:

  • Send test SMS to verify configuration works

  • Enable Phone Number Login or OTP verification on your splash page

  • Monitor SMS credits in ECall dashboard to prevent service interruption

Message type note: Use "PrioSMS+" as the message type for optimal delivery rates and priority routing through ECall's network.
