πŸ”Ή Applies to: UDM, UDM-Pro, UXG-Pro, and similar UniFi Security Gateways.

To ensure proper connectivity, configure your UniFi firewall to allow specific IP addresses from Spotipo's servers.

This configuration enables seamless network traffic flow between your local network and the captive portal system.

This guide walks you through configuring firewall rules on your UniFi gateway using the UniFi network application.

While these steps focus on UniFi devices, the same principles apply when creating firewall rules on other network systems.

The process involves filtering traffic to allow matching traffic from authorized sources while maintaining security.

Before you begin, you can access your UniFi network application with administrative privileges.

You'll configure UniFi firewall settings that serve through UniFi firewall systems without compromising your local network security.

Under Firewall Rules, press Create New Rule

For UniFi Gateways (UDM, UXG, etc.)

  1. Go to Settings > Firewall and Security.

  2. Under Firewall Rules, click Create New Rule.

  3. Configure the rule:

  4. Type: Internet Local

  5. Description: spotipo_allow

  6. Action: Accept

  7. IPv4 Protocol: All

  8. Source Type: Object

  9. Create a New Port/IP Group (Under source address group):

  10. Name: Spotipo_servers

  11. Add these IPs:

107.178.247.148
35.244.104.229
35.236.87.84
104.155.46.61

Finally, save the Firewall rule to complete your UniFi firewall configuration, and you should see the new rule appear in your Firewall

Rules section below, confirming that your UniFi gateway is now properly filtering network traffic from Spotipo's servers to your local network.
